How Do You Know When Enough Is Enough?

Whether you pull the long hours because your boss dumped a load of tasks on you, or you’re a solopreneur doing everything by yourself, results are the same if you do it for a long time.

 

Everybody can get caught up in this trap. You love to write and enjoy tinkering with the website builder or playing with the software to create audio and video materials. You are passionate about what you do.

 

But sometimes you get so many ideas you cannot sleep until you put pen on paper (- or fingers on the keyboard). You stay up very late and don’t get enough rest because you wake up excited like a puppy to pick up where you left off. Regaining balance gets harder.

 

Then effects show up – gradually or with an unexpected crash.

 

When I suddenly get those overwhelming feelings of helplessness and hopelessness – that’s the red light that tells me I took it too far. That I need to step back, take a break and look after myself.
